Professor Mustfizur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Rajshahi University (RU), has resigned from his post after the university authorities found him guilty of adding 'sectarian questions' in the question paper of first year admission test.

Professor Rahman, who was the coordinator of the admission test committee of the faculty and also chairman of Graphic Design, Crafts and History of Art Department, submitted his resignation letter to RU registrar Professor M Bari around 10am on Sunday, official sources said.

Professor Bari said that Professor Mustafizur Rahman would carry out his job as dean till the vice-chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan appointed another teacher to the post, reports UNB.

Earlier on December 6, the university authorities in a syndicate meeting decided to suspend Professor Mustafizur Rahman as a probe body found him guilty of adding 'sectarian questions' in a question paper of first year admission test.
