‘Study in India’ expo begins in Dhaka

A two day long ‘Study in India’ Expo was inaugurated Friday at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre, Agargaon, said a statement.

Visitors will be able to meet the management team of different prominent Indian schools, colleges and universities from 10 AM to 7 PM.

‘STUDY IN INDIA’ Expo is supported by the ‘High Commission of India’ & ‘India – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce’.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Adarsh Swaika, the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh in the presence of dignitaries and guests from the education sphere.

This expo will also travel to Chittagong on Monday, 23rd July & Tuesday, 24th July, 2018 at Hotel Agrabad and Khulna on Thursday, 26th July, 2018 at Hotel City Inn.

‘STUDY IN INDIA’ expo showcased over 50 of India’s leading Universities, Colleges and Boarding Schools from various parts of the country, providing easy and direct access to Bangladeshi students and parents to meet face-to-face with the admission authorities of the participating Indian institutions in a friendly and informal atmosphere in order to seek authentic and transparent information.

Moreover, it enabled students and parents to gather correct information on courses which are in demand, eligibility, course fees, installment options, placement scope, etc.

Some of India’s most renowned and high ranking boarding schools have taken part in the expo, this year.

The participating schools offered a wide range of curriculum options like International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge (IGCSE) and Indian boards, which are I.S.C.E and C.B.S.E. It was an excellent opportunity for the Bangladeshi parents to meet and interact with the Schools heads and explore world class education for their wards at affordable costs in a comfortable and safe environment.

Some of the participating schools are Pathways World School (Delhi NCR), Mody School (Rajasthan), Mussoorie International School (Mussoorie), The Indian Public School (Dehradun), King’s College India (Delhi NCR), The Sagar School (Rajasthan), Delhi Public School (West Bengal), Ecole Global International School for Girls (Dehradun), etc.

 

The expo also offered spot registration of admission on Engineering, Medical, Paramedical, Dental, Nursing, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, IT, MBA, BBA, Hotel Management, Journalism, Architecture and many more subjects as per the admission procedure of the respective colleges. Some of the prominent Universities and Colleges participating in the fair are Amity University (Kolkata), Adamas University (Kolkata), Techno India  Group (Kolkata), Institute of Engineering & Management (Kolkata), Brainware University (Kolkata), JIS University, (Kolkata), Vellore Institute of Technology, (Vellore), SRM Institute of Sciences & Technology (Chennai), Acharya Institutes (Bangalore), AIMS Institutes (Bangalore), Pandit  Deendayal Petroleum University (Gandhinagar), Sharda University (Delhi NCR), ManavRachna (Delhi NCR),  Mody University of Science & Technology (Rajasthan), Lovely Professional University (Punjab) and many such others.

Dr. Adarsh Swaika, the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, said, “Bangladesh and India have same weather and culture, and we have so many transport option. India is also promising quality education with an affordable cost which attract Bangladeshi guardian for the education of their children.”
