Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists allegedly attacked the quota reformists on the Dhaka University (DU) campus on Tuesday, leaving three injured, reports UNB.

The injured are Ratul Sarker, Faruk Hossain and Ataullah, joint conveners of Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council, a platform that leads the quota reform movement.

Around 10 BCL leaders and activists swooped on the quota reformists around 1:30pm when they were gossiping in front of Milon Chattar after a procession demanding the cancelation of DU 'Gha' unit admission test, said witnesses.

"The BCL men suddenly swooped on us when we're gossiping after the procession. We don't understand why they attacked me," Hasan Al Mamun, convener of the platform, told UNB.

DU unit BCL President Sanjit Chandra Das said he was not aware of any such attack. "If such attack took place, we'll take action againstthose responsible."
