Over 6,000 Narsingdi youth become self-reliant

Over 6,000 youth in Narsingdi district became self-reliant receiving training from Skill Development centre of BSCIC during the last 28 years.

Assistant General Manager of BSCIC Industries Service centre Shazzad Hossain told BSS that the BSCIC skill development centre imparted institutional training to 7,700 youth on different trades in the district in the last 28 years, reports BSS.

The training courses includes fitting cum machine shop practices and welding, electrical house wiring and motor welding, repairing of electrical goods, cutting and sewing training course, block-batic, refrigeration and air condition repairing, mobile phone repairing and computer course.

The Assistant General Manager said BSCIC also provided easy term loan among the trained youths (revolving fund) on different income generating projects.

He said over 6,000 youth in the six upazilas of Narsingdi district are now self-reliant by taking different projects and servicing in home and abroad.
