New air chief calls on President

President M Abdul Hamid on Thursday asked the new air chief to take necessary steps to enable the Bangladesh air force to attain capacity of world-standard air force.

The President made the call when the new Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat called on him at Bangabhaban in the city.

“The President said Bangladesh air force members are playing responsible roles in the United Nations peacekeeping missions abroad with utmost efficiency,” President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said.

The President further said the BAF members are working to uphold the country`s image at home and abroad with outmost sincerity and honesty.

The BAF under the leadership of new air chief would go forward in days to come, Abdul Hamid hoped.

The new air chief sought all-out cooperation from the President during his assignment.

President Hamid assured the air chief of providing necessary cooperation in discharging his duties, reports BSS
