Razib Mir laid to rest in Bhola

Former teacher of Chittagong University and Jagannath University Mir Mosharraf Hossain, who died of liver cirrhosis at an Indian hospital, was buried at his village home in Bhola on Monday morning.

Better known as Razib Mir, Mir Mosharraf Hossain was laid to eternal rest following his third namaz-e-janaza at Poranganj High School ground in Sadar upazila at 10 am and second one at Bhola Govt High School field at 9 am.

According to UNB, his body was sent to Bhola from Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier, the body of Mir Mosharraf Hossain reached the country by a flight of Sri Lankan Airlines from India's Chennai around 11 am on Sunday.

From Hazrat Shahjajal International Airport, the body was taken to Dhaka University campus where his first namaz-e-janaza was held at the DU Central Mosque.

Later, his body was kept at the Teacher-Student Centre from 3 pm to 4 pm where family members, relatives, and well-wishers paid their last respects to the departed soul.

Razib Mir, who was undergoing treatment at a Chennai hospital for liver cirrhosis, died in the early hours of Saturday at the age of 42.
