Afghanistan exports medical equipments to Somalia

Afghanistan has exported medical equipments and hygiene products to Somalia, a local online media outlet reported Tuesday.

The first consignment of the medical products of the militancy-plagued country were-- three 30-ton containers with medical equipments, which had been sent to the insurgency-battered African nation.

Hamidullah Khadim, head of Herat provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industries, said the equipments are made by pharmaceutical companies in the western Herat province, reports Xinhua.

"A total of 25 different kinds of medical equipments made by pharmaceutical companies in the western Herat province have been exported to Somalia for the first time," he said.
