Bangladesh trade fair starts in New York today

A three-day convention of non-resident Bangladeshi's (NRBs) alongside a trade fair starts today in New York City aiming to enhance bilateral trade and business relations with the United States.

The "Rupayan NRB Global Convention and Bangladesh Trade Fair-2018" will take place at Jackson Heights in New York.

Muktadhara New York Inc. is the organiser of the trade fair. NRB Worldwide Inc, a business organisation based in the United States, will conduct the event. The Financial Express is the media partner of the trade fair which is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm today (Friday).

The three-day event will showcase glorious tradition and achievements of Bangladesh. The sponsors of the event will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to this newest and fastest growing American immigrant community.

Leading businessmen and entrepreneurs of the country are taking part in the event.

Rupayan Group, Purbachal American City, Bengal Biscuits and Pran RFL as well as clothing brands Infinity, Jamdani House and Deshi Dosh are among the participants to exhibit their products and services in the fair.

Seven seminars will be held at the fair venue. The topics of the seminars are: Bangladesh's graduation from least developed country status, role of Bangladeshi expatriates in the development of the economy, how to expand Bangladesh-made products' market in the USA, a dream house in Bangladesh and investment in the real estate, digital revolution and outsourcing, homecare services and creation of awareness among the Bangladeshi expatriates as well as problems relating to immigration.
