Marico declares 250pc interim cash dividend

The board of directors of the Marico Bangladesh Limited has declared 250 per cent second interim cash dividend based on 9 months financials for the period ended on December 31, 2017.

The record date for entitlement of interim cash dividend is on February 12.

The multinational company also disclosed un-audited third quarter earnings reports on the day.

As per third quarter financial reports, earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 11.18 for October-December, 2017 as against Tk 10.18 for October-December, 2016.

In nine months for April-December, 2017, EPS was Tk 41.38 for as against Tk 38.04 for April-December, 2016.

The net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was Tk 57.47 for April-December, 2017 as against Tk 39.94 for April-December, 2016.

The net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 61.55 as on December 31, 2017 and Tk 50.16 as on March 31, 2017.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today (Tuesday) following its corporate declaration.

The company also declared 250 per cent first interim cash dividend for the period ended on September 30, 2017 based on 6 months financials for the period ended on September 30, 2017.

Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2009, closed at Tk 1,169.70 each on Monday at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 315 million and authorised capital is Tk 400 million, while the total number of securities is 31.50 million.

Sponsor-directors own 90 per cent stake in the company while the institutional investors own 2.81 per cent, foreign 6.20 per cent and the general public 0.99 per cent as on December 31, 2017, the DSE data shows.
