Combined admission test for public universities

ONE day as I was buying banana from a roadside shop, the shopkeeper told me that his son had passed HSC with GPA5 this year from a reputed college of Dhaka. The son had also received GPA5 in his SSC examinations. The pride and happiness were clearly visible on his face. He further added that he was in great trouble as his son applied to different public universities for admission which had already cost him Tk.6000. The banana seller told me that his son did very well in Maths and science subjects, but got poor grade in Bangla and that was the reason why he would not be able to apply for admission test in BUET, but could sit for tests in other Engineering Universities like KUET, RUET, CUET, etc. A large number of talented students would not be able to sit for the admission test at BUET as it could accommodate only 12000 students for the admission test, whereas more than 35000 thousand students got GPA5.

I would, therefore, like to request the prime minister, education minister, education secretary and vice chancellors of public universities to arrange a combined admission test for all engineering universities to enable the meritorious students to appear in the test examinations at their divisional or district towns.
