The simplicity day helps us de-cluster our life

SIMPLICITY DAY is celebrated every year on July 12. The day commemorates the life, times and work of American philosopher and proponent of simple living, Henry David Thoreau. Voluntary simplicity is a not a new concept. In fact it speaks of ancient wisdom that our societies seem to have lost in modern times. Choosing to live a life of simplicity is not about choosing to live in poverty; it is about living in balance. Based on three key elements - ecological awareness, frugal consumption and personal growth, voluntary simplicity is helping people change their lives and collectively helping to create a better world. Our life is becoming complicated everyday and we have forgotten simplicity in our life. So there is a day being observed as "the Simplicity day" which falls on July 12 every year and observed in a fun way.  It is a time when we move away from the hullabaloo of our everyday life and make it simple. We should remember the American author, naturalist, philosopher and historian Henry Thoreau who was born on July 12, 1817 and was a great advocate of living life simple.  Simplicity is the essence of pure happiness.  We should take a vow to live life in a simple way and if we can shed complexities from life we shall be able to enjoy our life fully.
