BUBT celebrates its first alumni carnival

The Alumni Association of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has organised its first carnival on its permanent campus in the capital.

Professor Md. Abu Saleh, patron of the BUBT Alumni Association (BUBTAA) and also the vice chancellor of the BUBT, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest at 11: 30 am on Friday.

BUBT Proctor Prof Mian Lutfar Rahman, and its Registrar Dr Md Harun-Or-Rashid, were present as special guests, while A H M Azmal Hossain, president of the BUBTAA, presided over the ceremony.

Ashraful Islam Chowdhury, general secretary of the BUBTAA, delivered the welcome speech at the function, says a media release.

Professor Md Abu Saleh launched the first souvenir of the BUBTAA “Smaranik” and the website of the university’s alumni association (www.bubtaa.org) on the occasion.

The organisers, in association with BUBT Cultural Club arranged games, raffle draw and a cultural session at the carnival.

Deans of various faculties, controller of examinations, chairmen of different departments, faculty members, a number of alumni, and officials were present at the event.
