A boutique shop owner was found dead at Halishahar in Chattogram on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Lucky Akter, 32.
SM Obaidul Haq, officer-in-charge of Halishahar Police Station, said being informed by local people, police recovered the body of Lucky, mother of four children, from near her boutique shop in the morning and sent it to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Lucky was killed sometime at night with a heavy weapon as her face was found smashed, said the OC.
Besides, the manager of her boutique shop went into hiding, reports UNB.
