Police detain Mohila Dal leader for ‘instigating’ students

Police have arrested a local leader of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, BNP's women wing,  in Chattogram on Saturday for allegedly provoking the student protests.

Fatema Badshah, acting president of the city unit of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, the female wing of BNP, was picked up from her residence at Supariwalapara in the city on Friday night.

Officer-in-charge of Double Mooring Police Station AKM Mohiuddin Salim said Fatema instigated the agitating students during their demonstrations at Agrabad in the city on Thursday.

According to UNB, she was arrested after scrutinising video footage of the incident, he said.
