Fire guts 10 shops in Bhola

At least 10 shops were burned down at Hajirhat bazaar under Manpura upazila of Bhola on Sunday morning.

Fire Service & Civil Defence sources said the incident occurred when a fire broke out, originating from an electric short-circuit in a cell phone shop around 8 am and soon engulfed the adjacent shops, reports BSS.

Being informed, fire fighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze with the help of locals.

No immediate estimate of the financial losses could be known as yet although shop owners claimed that the loss may surpass Tk three million.
