Five die in separate incidents in Chattogram

At least five people died in different incidents in Chattogram district from Friday night to Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Monaf, Abdur Rahim, Md Mostak, Osman Goni and Md Sohel, reports UNB.

Sub-inspector Jahirul Islam, in-charge of Chittaong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) police outpost, said Abdul Monaf, 22, who sustained injuries in a clash with his nephews over land on Friday afternoon, died at the hospital at night.

Abdur Rahim, 35, son of Nur Kader of Pekua upazila in Cox's Bazar district, fell sick at night after taking poison following a brawl with his wife and died at the hospital in the morning.

Besides, Md Mostak , son of Faridul, who also took poison over family feud, died at the hospital around 1:00 am.

Meanwhile, Osman Gani, 26, was killed in a road accident at Customs intersection while Md Sohel, 34, was killed in a road crash at Fakirhat in Sitakundu upazila at night.
