Pointing out state minister for LGRD Mashiur Rahman Ranga's comment on under-trial cases, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said Isn't it a clear case of contempt of court?
The former Prime Minister raised the question on Sunday through her official tweeter following Ranga's remark.
"Newspapers reported that an unelected state minister said Khaleda Zia will be sent to jail in the next 15 days. Isn't it a clear case of contempt of court?" Khaleda wrote in her tweet.
"People are watching how the judiciary protects its independence," she said.
According to UNB, Jatiya Party leader Ranga had said, "Khaleda Zia will have to go to jail in 15 days in the corruption cases filed against her."
