Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has said resigning of his party members from Cabinet is now a matter of time.
The prime minister's special envoy came up with this remark while talking to reporters at Rangpur circuit house on Friday.
Replying to a journalist's query over the speech by opposition leader Raushan Ershad in the parliament, Ershad said, "It was not a right decision to join the Cabinet. Therefore my party members will resign from the Cabinet within a couple of days."
Expressing doubt over BNP's participation in the upcoming general election, prime minister's special envoy said there is no possibility of forming alliance with BNP, reports UNB.
The party's Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, Co-chairman GM Quader, Presidium Member Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Mustafizur Rahman Mostafa among others attended the meeting.
While talked about Khaleda's bail, Ershad said, "I was in jail for six years and two months despite all cases filed against me were bailable and I was not allowed to join the parliament despite High Court's order."
Four Jatyia Party members are included in the present cabinet while the party chief is enjoying the status of a special envoy.
