Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have arrested eight suspected human traffickers, including three women, from Bakhunda and Shibrampur areas of Sadar upazila in Faridpur on Friday.
The arrestees were identified as Md Liton Sheikh, 30, Nasima Begum Kamala, 50, Naimuzzaman Raju, 19, Sharmin Begum Lipi, 33, Md Mostaque Khan, 40, Sheikh Alauddin, 60, Tanjila Akhter, 19, and Sheikh Afzal, 35.
According to UNB, being tipped off, a team of Rab-8 conducted drives in the areas and arrested them, said Md Rais Uddin, company commander of the elite force battalion.
