Rain predicted for Feb 19-20

Light rain may occur in different parts of the country on February 19-20 next, according to the latest agromet advisory.

“Rain is predicted at many places across the country during February 19 to 20 next,” SM Mahmudul Huque, deputy direct of Agromet Division at Bangladesh Meteorological Department, said.

The forecast said light rain (04-10 mm/d) or thundershowers, accompanied by a temporary gusty wind, is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.

The weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country during the second half of the advisory period from February 15 to 21 next, reports BSS.

However, the weather would remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country during the first half period, the agromet advisory said.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly during the first half period, while the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall by one to two degree Celsius over the country during the second half of the period.
