Two people were killed and five others injured in a road accident at Laksam upazila of Comilla on Wednesday.
The incident was taken place when a covered van hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Comilla-Noakhali road at Bhatiabhita area of the upazila.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports UNB.
Mahfuzur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Laksam Police Station, said the covered van crashed into the three-wheeler coming from the opposite direction around 6:30 pm, leaving two people dead on the spot and five others injured.
The injured were taken to Laksam Upazila Health Complex.
