Two people were killed and three others injured when a truck hit a number of rickshaws on Tongi-Ashulia-EPZ road at Itakhola in Ashulia of Savar on Friday.
One of the victims was identified as Moushumi, while the identity of another could not be known yet.
Police said the accident took place in the morning when a sand-laden truck rammed a number of stationary rickshaws, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured.
The injured were taken to a local hospital, UNB reports.
Police seized the truck but could not arrest its driver, said Rizaul Haq Dipu, officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station.
