Abinta Kabir foundation office opens

Abinta Kabir Foundation office was inaugurated at capital’s Pragoti Shorani recently. Diplomats, academicians and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. Keeping the core values in mind of Abinta Kabir who was killed in Holy Artisan attack last year in Gulshan, the foundation was launched earlier this year on 4th March, 2017. Abinta Foundation is a project that aspires to take shape and mould itself on Abinta’s benevolence and will to help those around her and in particular those who are less fortunate. Ruba Ahmed, mother of Abinta Kabir, said in the course of one year the foundation opened 7 schools which includes a girls school, donated clothes to acid victims, incubators to the Shishu hospital and blankets to fire victims of Korail slum. Among others, Sharon Ann Weber, Consul General, First Secretary of United States of America (USA), Tasmima Hossain, Editor, Anannya, Executive Director and Acting Editor of Ittefaq Group of Publications Ltd, Shaheen Anam, Executive Director, Manusher Jonno Foundation and Monzur Murshed, Chairman of Elegant Group were present at the programme, said a statement.
