Yet another worker died on Sunday while he was extracting stones from a quarry at Shah Arifin Tila in Companyganj upazila of Sylhet.
The deceased was identified as Basir Miah, 42, son of Rupa Miah, resident of Putamara village.
Officer-in-charge of Companyganj Police Station Dilwip Kumar Debnath said that the accident occurred when a portion of mud collapsed on Basir, leaving him dead on the spot.
UNB earlier reported the death of another worker in Gowainghat of the district only the previous day.
