Bangladesh has urged the international community to work in unison to find a just, peaceful and lasting solution to the Palestinian question.

It also called for translating its solidarity with the Palestinian people into meaningful quest for peace and stability in the Middle East.
Bangladesh joined the international community in reaffirming its staunch commitment to the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination, to national independence and sovereignty, and to return to their homes and property from which they had been displaced over five decades.
"The people of Bangladesh have always been steadfast in expressing their solidarity with their Palestinian brethren in their just struggle for self-determination and independent statehood," said the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka in a message marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
Bangladesh also welcomed and called for implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution adopted in December 2016 that stated that the establishment of settlements in Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, had no legal validity.
According to a UNB report, Bangladesh reiterated its position in favour of establishing the State of Palestine on the basis of the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Bangladesh has condemned the violent attacks and human rights violations against the Palestinian people, and denounces the illegal settlements, including the expansion plans, and any other action by the occupying force.
