The monetary value of the contribution is around CHF 0.316 million, or US$ 0.321 million, while the total consolidated budget of the organisation is CHF 197.20 million, or US$200 million.

The WTO generally derives its income from the annual contributions of its 164 members and miscellaneous income.

According to the annual report, these contributions are based on a formula that takes into account each member’s share of international trade.

Bangladesh’s share into the global trade is estimated at 0.21 per cent.

Miscellaneous income of the organisation mainly consists of contributions from observer countries, income from the sales of publications and rental of meeting rooms.
