A college student reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with ceiling fan at his own residence in Uttar Bogra Road area of Barisal on Sunday.
The deceased Nayan Sarkar (18) was an HSC second year student of Amrita Lal Dey College and son of Dhirendranath Sarkar of the area.
Nayan might have killed himself over a love affair, said Md Kuddus, Sub-inspector at Kotwali Police Station.
Tipped-off, police recovered the body and sent it to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy, reports a local news agency.
