The provosts of Dhaka University (DU) decided Wednesday recommend reopening residential halls from October 05 for students of honours final year and master's who have received at least first doze of vaccine.
As per the recommendations, the library of the university will reopen on September 26.
They have taken the decision at a meeting of Provost Standing Committee with the chair of DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman.
Bijoy Ekattor Hall provost Prof Dr Abdul Bashir, also convener of the provost standing committee, confirmed it.
Earlier, the provosts had decided to reopen halls in the first week of October.
In the first-phase reopening, honours final-year and master's students will be allowed into the halls on a priority basis.
Honours first-year, second-year and third-year students will be allowed from November in the second phase.
