Bangabandhu Foundation has initiated a plan to hold seminars, workshops and other events on the ideology and principles of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 100 prominent universities across the world.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen gave the information while talking to journalists after placing a wreath along with the leaders of the foundation at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital on Tuesday.

AK Abdul Momen, also the president of the foundation, informed that the body has committees in 39 countries across the world and they are committed to projecting Bangladesh positively in the international arena, reports BSS.

“We will continue our efforts to project Bangladesh positively in the world including disseminating the ideology and information on lifelong struggle of our Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he said.

Momen said the foundation has also taken an initiative to take interviews of all freedom fighters who are still alive. “The liberation war affairs ministry will support us in this endeavour,” he added.

Momen said the foreign ministry has already set up Bangabandhu corners at 81 Bangladesh missions and offices abroad.

About the negative campaign about Bangladesh, the foreign minister said it is very unfortunate that vested quarters have been involved in such kind of misdeeds abroad against their own country with absolutely false and fabricated information.
