Jatka conservation week starts on Mar 16

‘Jatka Conservation Week-2019’, will be observed across the country from March 16 to 22 with a view to creating mass awareness about preserving immature Hilsha or ‘Jatka’ which is significant to boost the production of the national fish.

The theme of this year’s week is ‘No use of net-no jatka fishing’, according to a release issued on Thursday, reports BSS.
