A contractor was stabbed to death by miscreants on Mritunjoy School road in Mymensingh city early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Rezaul Karim Rasel, 35, reports UNB.
Mahmudul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said that miscreants attacked Rasel while he was going to his Amlapara residence from his village home in Charharipur in Sadar upazila around 2:30am.
Locals rescued critically injured Rasel and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Family members said they suspect that the contractor might have been killed over previous enmity.
