Two rickshaw passengers were killed and three others sustained injuries as the rickshaw in which they were travelling, overturned after being hit by a Dhaka-bound sand-laden truck in Pakija area on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar on Saturday midnight.
The accident left two unidentified passengers dead on the spot, according to police and witnesses.
The injured were rushed to different local hospitals.
Police could not arrest the driver and the helper of the truck as they somehow managed to flee the spot.
A case was filed in this connection, reports a local news agency.
