Spinners send Windies top order back to pavilion

Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz have bowled through the West Indies top order, taking five quick wickets and leaving the visitors in deep trouble.

The Bangladeshi captain opened up proceedings by taking the wicket of his West Indian counterpart Kraigg Brathwaite in the first over.

He later took the wicket of Sunil Ambris (7), reports bdnews24.com.

Miraz, for his part, picked up the wickets of Kieran Powell (4), Shai Hope (10) and Roston Chase (0). 

All of the batsmen were bowled out.

At stumps on the second day, West Indies were at 75-5, trailing Bangladesh by 433 runs.

Shimron Hetmyer (32) and Shane Dowrich (17) were at the crease.

Earlier in the day Mahmudullah has scored his third Test century, achieving a career best of 136 to take the Tigers to a massive total of 508.

Bangladesh also saw half-centuries from debutant Shadman Islam (76), captain Shakib Al Hasan (80) and Liton Das (53).

Kemar Roach, Devendra Bishoo, Jomel Warrican and captain Kraigg Brathwaite picked up a couple of wickets each for the West Indies, while Shermon Lewis and Roston Chase split the remaining two.
