The CPR, Bangladesh organizes a Live-Talk on the IPDP

The discussion styled the Importance of the IPDP – Intellectual Property Development Program was held aiming at putting the importance of intellectual property (IP) in the knowledge economy of the 21st century both as an asset and as a necessity.

The Center for Policy Research, Bangladesh (Hereinafter called the CPR, Bangladesh) arranged the live-talk discussion on Tuesday.

Prof. Dr. S. Rama RAO, CEO of the IPDP – Intellectual Property Development Program, New York, USA & Former Director, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Founder & Senior Partner, Center for Policy Research, Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Delwar Hossain, Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka & Director, The IPDP – Intellectual Property Development Program participated in the discussion.

The innovative activity has grown increasingly collaborative and transnational. The LDCs and the developing world are concerned with IP collaboration and R&D. IP drives global economic development.

Forging collaboration and collaborative relations among the inventors, investors, entrepreneurs, and administrators across the nations is the fundamental aim of the IPDP, they said.

“We can thrive because The IPDP is the new economic model for future development in the world. The IPDP creates a framework in which developing countries and the developed world can engage in win-win situations,” said the discussants.
