An elderly woman who suffered burns while basking in fire died at the General Hospital in Jashore on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shukurunnesa, 60, wife of late Samsuddin of Raypara area in the district town.
Locals said Shukurunnesa caught fire when she was warming herself by a fire on December 30, leaving her critically injured, UNB reported.
She was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries after six days.
