The students of English Department of Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) staged William Shakespeare’s comedy ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Tuesday (yesterday).
Vice chancellor of NDUB Professor Dr Fr Patrick Daniel Gaffney, CSC was present as the chief guest at the programme.
Registrar Fr Adam S Pereira, CSC and Professor Tahmina Ahmed, former chair of the Department of English, University of Dhaka were present as the special guests.
Md Abdur Razzak and Shongkar Kumar Biswas, former students of the Department of Theater and Performance Studies of DU, directed the drama.
NDUB is the first private university to stage ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at Shilpokala Academy, said a press release.
