At least 1,253 women were raped and in the first ten months of current calendar year across the country, according to report of an independent rights body.
Besides, 62 others were murdered after rape from January to October, according to a report by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
10 more victims committed suicide after rape during the time, the report said.
The independent rights body also mentioned that a total of 883 cases were filed in connection with the incidents from January to October.
Apart from this, 200 incidents of rape attempts occurred during the period, it added.
Some 732 women were raped in 2018, the ASK data added.
