Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) across the country will stage demonstration on Dec 18 protesting what the party said pressing false criminal charges against its workers and leaders.
The government is harassing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman and millions of other leaders and activists with false cases and arrest warrants,” BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Friday.
“The party has decided to hold demonstrations in Dhaka and other parts of the country on Dec 18,” said Rizvi
His announcement came at the residence of pro-BNP professional Emajuddin Ahamed, where he went to wish the former Dhaka University vice-chancellor on his 85th birthday, according to bdnews24 report.
