Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a special anti-drug drive arrested four suspects from different areas of the capital for selling and consuming illegal drugs.
A special team of DMP, comprising Detective Branch (DB) of police and other law officials, launched the drive in various places of the capital and recovered 1,010 pieces of sedative yaba tablets, 720 bottles of Phensidyl and 950 drug-related injections, according to a DMP statement issued on Friday.
A total of three cases were filed under the Narcotic Control Act against the suspects with the concerned police stations in the city.
The drive began at 6:00am on Friday and ended at 6:00am on Saturday, the statement added.
