Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of parliament member and former minister AKM Maidul Islam.
In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Maidul, a Jatiya Party lawmaker from Kurigram-3 constituency, breathed his last due to old-age complications at the United Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday night at the age of 78, reports BSS.
