BNP was finally granted permission to hold its planned rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the city on Sunday.
"The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) authorities have given us written permission on different conditions to stage our rally tomorrow (Sunday) at Suhrawardy Udyan," BNP publicity affairs secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anne briefed reporters on Saturday, UNB reported.
The BNP leader said DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia gave them the permission as he and party organising secretary Abdus Salam Azad met him at his office at around 11:30 am.
