Jatiya Party Chairman H M Ershad has made party presidium member Moshiur Rahman Ranga its secretary general removing Ruhul Amin Hawlader from the post.
Ershad took the decision on Monday as per section 20/1/A of the Jatiya Party constitution and it will come into effect immediately, according to a UNB report.
Ranga, also the state minister of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives, will discharge the duty of party's secretary general alongside party's presidium member, said Delwar Jalali, Ershad's deputy press secretary.
However, the reason behind the removal of Hawlader could not be known immediately.
