The Qulkhwani of former Dhaka City Corporation mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka will take place on November 15 instead of Sunday at Brothers Union Club grounds in Gopibagh of the city after Asr prayers.
The valiant freedom fighter, who had long been suffering from cancer, died at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York on November 4.
His body was brought home from the USA on Thursday. He was laid to rest with state honour at his mother’s grave in Jurain graveyard on November 7, reports UNB.
BNP urged everyone to attend at the Qulkhwani and offer a munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.
Khoka, also a former minister and MP, is survived by his wife Ismat Ara, daughter Sarika Sadeque, sons Ishraque and Isfaque Hossain.
