US remains concerned over Rohingya crisis: US

Wednesday, 18 October 2017

The United States remains “extraordinarily concerned” by what was happening to Myanmar’s Rohingya minority.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made the remarks on Wednesday. He also thinks that Myanmar’s military leadership is liable for this crisis.

“What is most important to us is that the world cannot just stand idly by and be witness to the atrocities that are being reported in the area,” Tillerson told Washington’s Center for Strategic and International Studies think tank, reports Reuters.

“We really hold the military leadership accountable for what’s happening.”
