Stocks slipped into red again on Wednesday amid slow turnover, as risk-averse investors went on selling binge on sector-wise large-cap issues.
The markets started with a positive note, main bourse gaining around 24 points within first 30 minutes of trading, but around 11:52 am both the bourses fell steadily, finally ended with lower turnover.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 27.52 points or 0.44 per cent to settle at 6,224.
The two other indices also ended lower. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips fell 5.74 points or 0.25 per cent to close at 2,251.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 4.09 points or 0.29 per cent to finish at 1,375.
