Stocks returned to the red on Thursday, breaking a six-day gaining streak, as bearish traders observed the market carefully.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stocks Exchange (DSE), went down by 15.42 points to 0.24 per cent to settle at 6,303.
The two other indices also slipped into red. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, fell 6.60 points or 0.28 per cent to finish at 2,295.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) slipped 4.36 points or 0.30 per cent to close at 1,407.
The market activities also fell with the total turnover on DSE amounting to Tk 5.18 billion, which was 10.06 per cent lower than the previous day’s Tk 5.76 billion.
