New Zealand shares extended gain on Friday, six consecutive weekly gain and its longest weekly streak since July.
The benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index rose 0.4 per cent or 31.99 points to finish the session at 8,396.43.
Consumer and healthcare stocks accounted for most of the gains, reports Reuters.
Heavyweight a2 Milk Company Ltd climbing 1.5 per cent, while Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Ltd rose 1.0 per cent to a record close.
