US stocks ended higher on Wednesday as technology stocks climbed amid indications of robust economic growth in the United States and overseas.
The S&P 500 index rose above 2,700 for the first time on Wednesday and other major indexes hit record highs, reports Reuters.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 98.67 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 24,922.68.
The S&P 500 gained 17.26 points, or 0.64 per cent, to 2,713.07 and the Nasdaq Composite added 58.63 points, or 0.84 per cent, to 7,065.53.
