Winrock International and PRAN-RFL have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to support the victims of human trafficking through a project namely Ashshash.
Ms. Dipta Rakshit, team leader of Ashshash project, and Ms. Uzma Chowdhury CPA, director-finance at PRAN-RFL Group, signed the MOU on behalf of the respective organisations.
As per the MoU, the victims will get the job and entrepreneurial opportunities and additional services from the PRAN RFL, a release said.
The proposed target of supporting the victims of human trafficking will be implemented through the Winrock International’s project namely Ashshash.
The Ashshash is mandated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the non-profit organisation Winrock International will implement the project in Bangladesh.
“The Ashshash project will herein facilitate this steady demand and ensure the prosperous livelihood of the project’s beneficiaries,” the release said.
It said the beneficiaries in turn will also widen the coverage and geographical footprints of company’s products.
“Ashshash project aims to ensure the victims’ mental health rehabilitation through counseling along with developing their skills and exploring entrepreneurial opportunities,” the release added.
