PM inaugurates 'Parjatan Bhaban'

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday inaugurated newly constructed 'Parjatan Bhaban' in Dhaka through video conferencing.

The Prime Minister instructed in 2010 to acquire necessary land in Agargaon administrative area for the construction of 'Parjatan Bhaban', headquarters and permanent office of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation (BPC).

On August 17, 2011, a total of 34 katha of land was allotted in the area as per the PM’s directive.

The construction work of the 13-storey head office building with modern architecture completed on June 30 this year, according to a statement issued by the BPC.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated ‘Pani Bhaban’ in the city’s Green Road area, ‘Mural’ of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the Shahjalal International Airport, and “Bangabandhu Corner” inside the airport through a videoconference.

In the function, she also laid foundation stone of the construction works of Sylhet International Airport Extension Project (phase-1).
